Mr. Matt Whittaker,
Community Outreach Coordinator
Natural History Museum of Utah
301 Wakara Way,
Salt Lake City, Utah 84108
Dear Mr. Whittaker, throughout the past year I have developed an increased interest in creating ties with our local community. Being in my last semester at the University of Utah, I am in search of an internship in which I can further develop my skills in marketing and community outreach, which would be of benefit to my degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism.
This summer I had the opportunity to intern for Wasatch Community Gardens. Throughout my internship I assisted with public relations, outreach for community events, and marketing. Not only did I learn a lot, but I found it very rewarding to work with the local community. This being said, I think my interest in community outreach and skills in marketing could be of benefit to your organization.
Like I have previously mentioned, as I am in my last semester at the University we are required to obtain a 480-hour internship with an organization or business of our choice. I would love to meet with you to discuss the possibility of working together this fall, and am looking forward to hearing back from you. Thank you so much for your time.
Sincerely,
Vanessa Gregory
